LMFA Parent Volunteer Information

Parental assistance is vital to our association's success.  Any parent of every player can help deliver a quality game event by volunteering for concession (sell and or BBQ) duty or other available volunteer opportunities.  Each family pays one service fee with one registration.  Only one service fee is charged per family. Parents who complete their 5+ volunteer hours through the Concession or other duties will be reimbursed the entire service fee amount at the end of the season (your cheque is returned or destroyed).

Concession Shifts

One concession shift equals approximately two and a half hours. Parents can sign up for a shift via the shift calendar located at the Concession.  The Concession Manager will be available to answer questions and help train.  Parents must sign the concession shift book to verify that duties have been fulfilled.  Parents must complete a minimum of five (5) hours of Concession time (two shifts) for a full refund.  Partial refunds are available. Families with more than one child registered with LMFA will only be required to complete the two shifts. Names of families who have completed Concession hours will be forwarded by the Concession Manager to the Volunteer Hours Coordinator for reimbursement.

Team Volunteer Opportunities

Each team will be provided with a maximum of three (3) Volunteer positions. These will include the Coach, and the assistant Coaches and/or Team Managers as determined by the Coach.  Parents will not receive Volunteer hour credit for scorekeeping, transporting players or attending regularly scheduled games and tournaments. Coaches will forward the names of the three Volunteers to the Volunteer Hours Coordinator for reimbursement at the end of the season.

Non-Concession/Team Volunteer Opportunities

Non-Concession duties are performed throughout the year and information/sign up for these duties will be ongoing as needed. Examples of these duties are: Opening Day, Dance Coordinators, Tournament Coordinators, Equipment Day, Picture Day, Trophy Organizer, Assistant Division Coordinators, Batting Cage Contest, Movie Nights, Construction, Division Photographers, Writers (local papers), BBQ Masters, Shoppers (Costco prior to tournaments), Executive Assistants, etc. Coordinators of events will forward names of all volunteers involved to the Volunteer Hours Coordinator for reimbursement after the event has taken place.
